Merck Clinical Trials is an informational website provided by Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp., a subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc. and its vendors The Merck Clinical Trials website provides general educational information about Merck clinical trials in the US and links to clinical trials for Merck investigational medications and therapies and does not take the place of professional medical advice. Your HCP is responsible for your care and should always be your primary source of information about your specific diagnosis, medical condition and treatment. Always follow your HCP's instructions and talk with him or her about any question or problem you may have regarding your health, condition or treatment. You understand that by agreeing to enroll in the Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" Program, Merck Clinical Trials personnel will have access to certain personal information that you provide, including your email address and your search criteria (key word and location).
Your information may be used so that Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" can send you updated information about studies that match your search criteria for one year from the time you register. After one year, you will receive an e-mail requesting you to re-register if you would like to continue to receive updated information. Your information will be deleted automatically unless you chose to re-register. Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" may also be required to report certain personal information to Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp., a subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc., in order to comply with its FDA reporting requirements or as otherwise required by law.
At any time, you may request a copy of your consent to participate in the Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" Program. You may also request that your personal information be removed from the Merck contact list with respect to the Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" Program by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of the "Notify Me" emails you receive. Your personal information will then be completely removed from the Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" database, with no direct access by any Merck Clinical Trials "Notify Me" or Merck personnel. Your personal information will also be removed once your year-long participation in the program expires unless you re-register with the program. Merck and its vendors will only use your information as directed by Merck as described here in accordance with the Merck Privacy Policy, which can be found here .
